Four followers after one post is a pleasant surprise. I'm glad there's interest in this project.
Before we start the delicate art of smashing slabs, I'd like to know what the preferred weapon for this task is. I was originally thinking jackhammer or circular saw, but there's an obvious problem with that. I don't own a jackhammer or circular saw.
While doing the little bit of research that I did on the subject. the most common choice to deal with the task at hand was the humble screwdriver, often accompanied by a pair of snips.
If any of my readers have experience cracking slabs without damaging the card, please share any advice you may have.....or I could just beat it with a hammer, but destroying the card seems like a waste of money. Also I don't know if anybody would want a card that looks like it just stomped on by an elephant with a foot made out of dynamite. Maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway.........thanks for reading this post, any advice is well-appreciated, and I can't wait to get started next time I hit up the LCS. Have a great rest of the week!
I think the instrument of destruction that worked best for me was a pair of needle nose pliers. I've seen some tutorial videos on YT. You might want to check them out. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks! Pliers will probably do better than a circular saw lol
